Our Mission:

"Our primary mission is to enforce the laws of society, maintain order within the community, protect life and property, and to assist the public at large in a manner consistent with the rights and dignity of all persons as provided for by the law under the Constitution of the United States and the State of New Hampshire."

The Fitzwilliam Police Department is committed to the protection and service of it's citizens. We adhere to the highest ethical standards and treat all people with respect. We will be impartial, non judgmental, and consistently fair in the performance of our duties. We will always exhibit professionalism in our appearance, actions, and decisions, and will promote moral values through honesty and trust. We will work to maintain the quality of life as we know it, and will provide our police officers continued education and training in order to render quality service.

Our staff of seven are specially trained in areas that enhance their professional skills which provide a driect benefit to the community.

Our officers specialize in criminal investigation, interrogation, crime prevention, community youth development, R.A.D., firearms safety and awareness, drug and alcohol recognition, and more. Although we are a small agency, the Town is fortunate to have such dedicated personnel who are professionally trained and have personal involvement with the town. Separate from the police is the animal control division. This department is under the direction of the police and handles only domestic animal complaints.

The Fitzwilliam Police Department is dedicated to serving its community of approximately 2,000. Fitzwilliam is located in the south western region of New Hampshire and is surrounded by the towns of Troy, Jaffrey, Rindge, Richmond, and Winchendon, MA.
